I help you navigate birth your way.
There’s no shortage of information out there. How do you take that information and discern what’s right for you? I’ll help you clarify, simplify and determine which path connects most with your deep desires, fears and hopes. And if birth unfolds in a way you hadn’t anticipated, I will be there to help you adjust your sails.
I support whole families (and all families).
If one thing is true, it’s that birth has a ripple effect on the whole family. Partners and loved ones are part of our jam. I lovingly serve all parents and families: LGBTQ+ families, single parents, first/second/third/fourth-time parents, and people pregnant after losses. Got love? I’m there for it!
I honour your feelings & choices (all of them).
I don’t want you to birth your baby the way that your neighbour or friend did; I want you to do it your way. Want an Unmedicated Birth? Have your sights set on an epidural or Planned Caesarean? Prefer to see where labour takes you and decide later? Want to give birth in a birthing centre, at home, or in the hospital? I’ve got you! No matter your intentions for birth — I will honour, support and advocate for what works best for you.

Pregnancy may feel overwhelming at times, but you might be surprised about how much you actually know. I’ll help you tune-in when you need it. I’ll also show you what the evidence says. And guess what? The evidence supports hiring a doula! Not only does having a doula decrease unwanted interventions like surgery, it also has proven to heighten satisfaction with your birth. That’s why I do this!
What exactly do doulas do?
A doula is like having the world’s best phone-a-friend. As a birth doula, I bring years of expertise on birth and babies, and zero judgement on how you want to do things. I become your sounding board to figure out what is important to you, and offer a whole bag of physical support techniques you didn’t even know you needed.
My approach has three pillars.
Helping families with a full-spectrum approach is what I get out of bed for! When these three elements come together, families feel wholly and completely supported — which makes for the most beautiful outcomes.

Whichever way your birth unfolds, it’s an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life. My passion is to make you feel positive, powerful and heard — and I do everything possible to make it so. While I am Type-A leaning, and my certifications and knowledge are based in science — I also leave space for the magic, mystery and transformation that is possible through birth.

I also wholeheartedly support all of your choices: Whether you want a natural birth, unmedicated birth, have your sights on pain medication like an epidural, or you just want to see where labour takes you, anyone can benefit from a doula. I support home births, vaginal births after Cesarean (VBAC) and planned Cesarean births, as well as births of twins and multiples.
